In traditional witchcraft, the Dark Moon (the 2–3 days before the New Moon sliver appears) is distinct. It is the time of Hecate and the Underworld.

• Psychic Work: This is the most psychically fertile time. It is perfect for shadow work, ancestral communication, and "seeing" into the darkness.
• Magical Work: Use this for your most aggressive protection and banishing work.

The Moon moves through a different zodiac sign every 2.5 days. To be a truly effective psychic, you must know not just the phase, but the sign:

• Moon in Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): Intuition and emotions are at an all-time high. The "veil" is thinnest.
• Moon in Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): Best for grounding psychic energy into physical results (like money magic).
• Moon in Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): Energy is high but can be volatile; focus on courage and passion.
• Moon in Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): Best for communication, learning, and intellectual breakthroughs.
